Tigers stroll a straightforward path to 9th straight District title

The White River Tigers entered post season play as the number one seed and clear favorite to win their ninth straight District 13B title. The Tigers didn’t disappoint, travelling a smooth path to the championship. They beat both Stanley County and Lyman County en route to the title.

Schmidt named to USD Hall of Honor

Steve Schmidt, a 1995 graduate of White River High School, is set to be inducted into the University of South Dakota Track and Field Hall of Honor February 8, 2014, at a banquet in Vermillion.

Large crowd gathered at Historical Society annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Mellette County Historical Society was well attended last Wednesday with close to fifty people on hand.
