Cattle producers night out set for Sunday, proceeds to benefit local Rancher’s Relief Fund

A night out for and in support of our many local cattle and livestock producers has been set for Sunday, February 23. The evening is being sponsored by the Mellette County Cattlewomen and the White River Lion’s Club and was organized in response to October’s winter storm Atlas. Organizers hope both producers and members of the community will come together for an enjoyable evening.

Schmidt named to USD Hall of Honor

Steve Schmidt, a 1995 graduate of White River High School, is set to be inducted into the University of South Dakota Track and Field Hall of Honor February 8, 2014, at a banquet in Vermillion.

Large crowd gathered at Historical Society annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Mellette County Historical Society was well attended last Wednesday with close to fifty people on hand.

Booster club brings new curtain for gymnasium
