On February 11, 2014, Sidney Raymond Hopkins, a very wonderful father, husband, grandfather and uncle passed from this life into the waiting arms of our Father in Heaven.

He came into this world February 18, 1933, in Fort Yates, North Dakota. He had one brother Danny, whom he traveled with numerous places around the United States by train.  When he was old enough to serve, he joined the U.S Army and served during the Korean War, he was proud of his service.

He married Cordelia White Horse and had one son Eugene (Mina) Hopkins, South Dakota; daughter Rosemary (Celso) Aguilar, Arizona; daughter, Julie Hopkins, California; daughter, Ruth (Charlie) Janson, Minnesota; daughter, Delorse (Gary Lyn) Woodside, Arizona; daughter, Liz Hopkins (deceased); and daughter, Wanda Striped Wolf, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Danny, and daughter Liz. He enjoyed spending time with his family and relatives. He especially enjoyed his many grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family.

A visitation and funeral services were held at the Owen Livingston Mortuary White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona, on February 15, 2014.

Interment and graveside dedication will be held at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Fort Yates, North Dakota, at a later time, so he may rest next to his brother and family.
