We are grieved to announce that on December 6, 2012, we lost a beloved friend, mother, sister, and aunt Elizabeth “Liz” Annett Hopkins, 46 of Billings, Montana. She was born in Rosebud, South Dakota, May 23, 1966, to Sidney and Cordelia Hopkins. Liz graduated from White River High School and later attended Rick’s college in Rexburge, Idaho, as well as Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She received her B.A. from Sinte Gleska College. Liz was most recently working for Cenex oil refinery in Billings.
She has left behind a beloved son, Courtland Richard Hopkins who is at Ft Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, who will now be watched over by spirit. She is also survived by her one brother and five sisters, Eugene Hopkins, S.D.; Rosemary (Celso) Aguilar, Eloy, Ariz.; Julie Hopkins, Hemmett, Calif.; Ruth (Charlie) Jansen, Baxter, Minn.; Delorse (Lyn) Woodside, Snowflake, Ariz.; and Wanda Janel Striped Wolf, Mesa, Ariz.
Liz was a friendly and outgoing person. She made lifelong friends wherever she went. Liz leaves a huge void in the lives of those who knew her. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people and always had a smile.
A wake service was held on Friday, December 14 and funeral was held Saturday, December 15 at the Sacred Heart Hall in White River, S.D.
