The White River Tigers were honored last Tuesday afternoon when they were presented with the 2011/12 KELO Cup for Class B. Keloland Sports Director Matt Holsen expressed his congratulations to the Tigers and made the presentation.
The KELO Cup is awarded in recognition of excellence in high school athletics. Points are awarded throughout the year and are earned by placing in the top three at a State Championship event. The Tigers were State Champions in both boys golf and boys basketball last year, thus earning a total of ten points, enough for the Class B KELO Cup.

The race is on for the 2012/13 KELO Cup. O’Gorman is in the lead with 11 points in Class AA. There is a three way tie in Class A. Lead-Deadwood, SF Christian, and West Central all have 5 points. Class B has yet to contest any State Championships. The first points to be awarded in class B will be at the State Cross Country Meet October 20.
