The 2013 Lakota Nation Invitation Volleyball Tournament, after having been postponed because of the early October blizzard, was held Friday, October 25 in Rapid City. The Tournament was modified into a one day tournament and teams opened the day in sections of pool play.
The Lady Tigers won each of their three pool play matches. They opened with a win over Todd County, 25-17, 25-15 and then picked up a big win over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, 25-17, 25-18. St. Francis took a close first set, 28-26, in the Lady Tigers final game of pool play. The girls bounced back in set two with a win in another close one, 26-24, before taking the win with a 25-13 set three win.
Six teams advanced to tournament play with the Lady Tigers taking on defending champion and top seeded Pine Ridge. Having lost to White River earlier in the season, the Lady Thorpes came out with something to prove. They took set one 25-16 and equalled the score in set two, taking the win 25-16. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte awaited the Tigers in the battle for third and fourth. After a long day of play, the Tigers came up short and fell in straight sets. The Lady Braves took the win 25-20, 25-18.
The Lady Tigers ended their regular season with a 3-1 win over St. Francis the following Monday.

(tournament) Pine Ridge lost in 2 (16-25) (16-25) Courtney had 17 digs, Rachel had 7 kills, Julia LeBoeuf had 11 assists, Rachel had 2 blocks.
